Education in India is on dry runs to upgrade the system as we perceive intrinsic reasons in the system itself for its failure. Today we get the information about anything we want. We do have a great deal of education portals like Careers360, HTCampus and CollegeDekho, GetMyUni, CollegeDunia etc always available online for providing any kind of information an aspirant needs.
The online portals give the information about the colleges, admission, scholarships, Entrance Exams, reviews, counselling etc to guide a student to find the proper path of studies.Though Indian students could easily find the path of success through digitisation, most of them don’t succeed. An apt education system should be established to impart knowledge in the young aspiring minds.
Ancient Indian Education System relied on Gurukul system where a Guru would have some skills and operate the system. Thanks to the British rulers who did actually a very good work in the development of Indian Education System. They built many Colleges and Universities and regularised proper schooling system through the missionaries. They didn’t completely evade the Gurukul system instead they just blended it with more appropriate and structured education system. But the agony is that education system was defined to be the mode for financial security and students were busy with pointless rat race. India is moving to be the best service provider to other countries rather than having its own service due to the lack of innovators, entrepreneurs and technologists. It’s high time to re-define the purpose of education system. The purpose of education should enable the student to open up the mind and incorporate strong foundation of knowledge and to upshot technological and scientific innovations.
It would be more appropriate to call Indian Education System as Indian Exam System. Too much of exams are conducted that the students just puke out the knowledge they memorised and just get away with it. Students always being busy and drained of “memorise and write” phenomenon, they bury all their creativity within themselves. They don’t think outside the box and come up with their ideas as parents and society are not ready to acknowledge due to fear of failure. Our exam system should stop identifying and rewarding the best crammers and instead it should focus on rewarding the works of innovation, research with originality and massterpiece of creativity. And Indian Society should welcome the transformation by encouraging the curiosity and taking risks and follow the interests. Once this is done, Indian students would become the most wanted articulate fishers and not just the fish-eaters.
The beauty of creation of nature is diversity. Nothing is similar in this universe. But we have the same education system for all kids which is totally irrelevant. Our education system is literally trying to put the same shoe for all kids though it’s very clear that their sizes and tastes are different. Students possess different levels of learning skills of slow, moderate and swift and different with skills too of some being athletes and some comedians. Students possess different intellect and vivid talents. Our education system should identify and nurture their best. Also our curriculum should be transformed where one can study and excel in the subject of their interest. We should change the system of broad knowledge of having so many books and subjects to have deeper knowledge of something of their interest.
Indian Technology System paved the way for the students to know the fees to the entrance exam details from various online portals like GetMyUni. Indian Education System is trying to improve based on quality and quantity. Parents and children are aware of the consequences of having conventional education system in India. Recently students and professionals raised their voices against the bills of New Education Policy (NEP) and the National Medical Commission (NMC) and New Education Policy (NEP) and the National Medical Commission (NMC). As the freedom of raising the voices began, we can soon expect a new dawn in the education field with the Triple R Formula.
