Zara Tindall’s hairdresser has given an accidental glimpse into life behind the closed doors of Windsor Castle.

London-based celebrity hairstylist and make-up artist, Alisia Ristevski, shared a picture to her Instagram as she helped to get the Queen’s eldest granddaughter Zara, 38, and sister-in-law Autumn Phillips, 41, ready for Royal Ascot last week.

Tagging Windsor Castle, Alisia shared a selfie alongside Zara, in what appeared to be a guest room at Windsor Castle.

The room boasts cream carpets, pale lilac walls, white lace curtains and vintage floral table lamps with traditional lampshades.

A snap which shows Zara’s up-do underneath her teal hat, shows a dressing table with various bouquets of flowers , and what appears to be a small royal welcome note featuring the red emblem in the background.

A background glimpse at Autumn’s room shows similar nude carpets and cream walls with matching lampshades on a small wooden bedside table, and cream coloured bed sheets.

A wooden vanity table and chair, along with a matching  footstool an painted bin can also be seen, standing next to blue curtains.

Zara, who shares two children with her ex-rugby player husband Mike Tindall, attended the Royal Ascot alongside the Queen, Kate and William, and other various royal family members last week.

Canadian born Autumn Phillips, who last year marked her ten-year wedding anniversary with the 15th-in-line to the throne, was also present.

It was captioned: ‘A wonderful and proud day celebrating Her Majesty’s birthday and  the Duke of York for his first Trooping the Colour as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards.’

The photo sees Prince Andrew in full uniform standing in a carpeted grand corridor with an array of portrait paintings.

She told Vogue: ‘I recently got in trouble for posting a picture of Papa in a corridor of the palace that was off-limits to the public.’
